Amazing pencil drawings look like photographs.

British artist Kelvin Okafor creates pencil drawings from Beyonce, Amy Winhouse, Mother Theresa, to Princess Diana. His pencil drawings are so detailed that they look so much like photographs.

If you look at the drawings closely, there is not one pencil line in sight. Yet, Okafor only uses a set of pencils, a piece of paper and a stick of charcoal.

The 27-year-old artist’s story is almost like a rag to the almost riches story. He and his family were too poor that he would often stay at home in Tottenham, North London instead of drinking and clubbing. He grew up in one of the country’s poorest areas and still lives there with his family.

The London’s Science Museum is featuring an exhibit of his work this week. And some of the pieces have already sold for £10,000 each.

The artist says he prefers to work with photographs instead of live models. Okafor tells the Daily Mail that it takes about 80 to 100 hours to do one portrait. It would be close to impossible to have someone sit there for that long.

Okafor offers to draw portraits from £800 to £ 3,000.
